Rochelle and Jimmy

Here are the wedding day highlights from Rochelle and Jimmy's wedding.  Their ceremony was held at a church in Ewa Beach (which is very conveniently located just a couple minutes away from our house), and their reception followed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. They chose Visionari as their photographers, who always delivers great photos!   This was actually a vow renewal, since they were married 5 years earlier (to the day).   I thought it was so cute when Rochelle and their daughter did a Hula for Jimmy, what a great memory!  Congratulations Rochelle and Jimmy!!!

Our Vacation

Here are some pictures from our recent semi-vacation (I say semi-vacation because I still brought the laptop and worked on some videos) to Florida and Alabama. We spent a few days in Disneyworld, followed by a few days visiting family in Florida and Alabama. This was especially exciting for me because it was my first chance to meet my beautiful niece, Nylah. Kylie had such a great time with her cousin, and I wish we could have stayed a little longer.

This was at the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine, Florida (I think we enjoyed this place more than Disneyworld).  Janice was too chicken to hold the snake, but at least she held the albino alligator.  You actually had the option to go into the alligator pit (where there was about 50 alligators) and take a picture with a full-grown adult alligator, but I couldn't muster up the courage to do it!

Hazel & Arthur

This is the ceremony highlights from Hazel and Arthur's wedding. They were married at St. Theresa Chapel in Kalihi, and their reception followed at the Halekulani. This was our first wedding back from our vacation, and it was great to get back into the flow. They are such a sweet couple, and their wedding was beautiful. Congratulations Hazel and Arthur!!!

Michelle and Ryan

This is the wedding day highlights from Michelle and Ryan's wedding at the Hyatt. Their first dance was hilarious, especially because I wasn't expecting a first dance of that nature. The couple chose the extremely talented Eugene Kam as their photographer, and they were married by Mike Nelson (the same reverend who married Janice and I). Congratulations Michelle and Ryan!!!

Kim & Derrick

Here is the ceremony highlights from Kim and Derrick's wedding at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. This was our first wedding we ever shot at the South Pacific Ballroom, and it was really pretty. Derrick hates to be hot, so they wanted a room that was nice and cool, plus it was right above their ballroom. I felt so bad for Derrick because throughout the reception, everyone was giving him a hard time about his height (or lack thereof). However, he took it well and they had a beautiful wedding. Congratulations Kim and Derrick!!!

Kimberly and Jarrett

Here is the wedding day highlights from Kimberly and Jarrett's wedding. Kimberly has one of the cutest smiles, and they give off such a great vibe. We are also shooting her sister's wedding in June 2009, and we are so excited to be a part of that. They hired our friends Bianca and Grant from Bianca Photography, and we had a great time working together. I enjoy working with them because Bianca bosses Grant around just like Janice bosses me around, which is always fun to watch when it's not me (just kidding, kind of). Congratulations Kim and Jarrett!!!

Sunny and Grayson

Sunny and Grayson are a really special couple to me, partially because I used to work with Sunny at Circuit City "back in the day". In addition, this couple represents what a wedding should really be about, and I am completely honored to have been a part of it. They did not have a very large budget for their wedding, but they made the most of everything. With the help of their coordinator, Sandra Williams from Finishing Touch, they put together an exceptional wedding. The reception was a costume party, and everyone had a blast. They didn't spend excessively in any areas, but they spent their money very wisely. This enabled them to still be able to afford a coordinator, photographer (Shawn Starr), and of course a videographer. It is a little troubling to me that couples often decide against having a videographer, because it's the best way to remember the events of your wedding. Even if they don't hire us, everyone should find a way to hire a videographer!!! Fortunately, Sunny and Grayson decided to hire us, and we are so blessed to have been a part of their day. Thank you Sunny and Grayson!!!

Our Blog got a facelift

We changed the look of our blog to match our new website, which is currently under construction. We have been spending a lot of time lately trying to apply a fresh look to our company. In addition to a new website and blog, our logo has changed, we have a new demo DVD, our Hawaii Bride & Groom magazine ad is a new format, and we are also currently designing new flyers. Hopefully our clients and potential clients will like the changes, and our business can continue to grow.

Tiffany and Ross

This is the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Tiffany and Ross. They were married at the Hale Koa. Unfortunately for Tiffany and Ross, weather forced their ceremony indoors, but I think it turned out beautiful. They chose our good friends from Love Story Weddings as their photographer, and Les Saisons did their linens. Congratulations Tiffany and Ross!!!

Debra and Jay

Here is the wedding day highlights from Debra and Jay's wedding at the Kahala. They are the owners of Red Velvet Weddings. They designed and decorated the ballroom and choose an arch filled with flowers over their sweetheart table.
We also had a chance to see a few of our previous couples at their wedding. They chose Visionari as their photographer and Gregg Hammer, who kept their guest laughing throughout the day. Thank you Debra and Jay for allowing us to capture your special day!!!

Renette and Bradley

Here's the wedding day highlights from the wedding of Renette and Bradley. They were married at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Pearl City, and their reception followed at Pacific Beach Hotel. At this wedding we also got to see a ca few of our previous couples, which is always nice. Congratulations Renette and Brad!!!

Tracy & Duane

Here's the ceremony highlights from our other wedding today, Tracy and Duane. They were married at the Chapel of Joy at Paradise Cove, and their reception was at the Westin Moana Surfrider. I really love the chapel, and we have been fortunate to have shot there twice in the last 2 weeks. They had a beautiful wedding and we are so grateful to have been a part of it. Congratulations Tracy and Duane!!!

Leslie & Rocky

Here are the ceremony highlights from today's wedding of Leslie and Rocky. They were married at the Sacred Heart Church in Waianae, and their reception followed at Lanikuhonua. The groom and groomsmen arrived at the church in antique cars, and everyone arrived at the reception on a trolley (talk about riding in style!). We had a great time (as always) working with their photographer, Chrissy Lambert. Congratulations Leslie and Rocky!!!

Happy Halloween!

One thing that we find as Kylie gets older, the holidays get better and better, because she understands what is going on and has more fun. We went over to our friends house to go "trick or treating", and they all had a blast. Since our friend just so happens to be David and Cassandra from Cassandra Dieterle Photography, I got to photograph Kylie with a studio backdrop and all the fancy lighting. Although I have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to photography, Kylie makes any picture look great!

Tiana & Dante

Here is the ceremony highlights from Tiana and Dante's wedding on Kauai. It is so much work to haul all the equipment to the outer islands, but it is so much fun! They had over 700 people at their reception, and they really know how to party! Even though Kauai is right next door to Oahu, it always feels completely different. It's a great change of pace, but they really need to add a Zippy's, because we couldn't get anything to eat after the wedding. Congratulations Tiana and Dante!!!

Katie & Mike

Ruby and Justin

Here is the wedding day highlights from Ruby and Justin's wedding at the Ihilani. I really love this song, and I think it is the perfect song for this couple. I love the way they look at each other, because you can really see the love they have for one another. We also had a great time working with the guys (and Lisa) from Visionari. Congratulations Ruby and Justin!!!

Donna and Richard

Catherine and Romel

Here is the wedding day highlights from Catherine and Romel's wedding on the ever so popular 8/8/8. Their wedding was held at St. Augustine Church, and the reception followed at the Waikiki Beach Marriott. They rented Trolleys and took ALL of their guests along with them to several photo shoot locations! I'm sure that everyone had a great time, as their wedding was beautiful. Our Trip to Lanai

On Sunday, we took a trip to Lanai for our friend's wedding. This was especially meaningful to me because Kylie was a flower girl and Janice was a bridesmaid. It was Kylie's first time as a flower girl, and she did incredible! She was so excited, and not the least bit intimidated. I served as the videographer, as well as amateur photographer. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of Kylie, and in the near future I will post some more pictures & video.

Aileen & Damon

Here's the ceremony highlights from Aileen and Damon's wedding. I thought it was great that Aileen's brother served as the man/maid of honor, as well as walked her down the aisle. At the reception, he was actually presented with the bouquet! After I told Janice the story, she said that we really need to give Kylie a sibling. On that note, I'm off to bed!!!

EXPO TIME!!!

It's that time of year again - time for another Expo. This one is at the Hawaii Convention Center. We are especially excited about this one because we are unveiling a lot of changes. We have changed our logo, our demo DVD, our booth layout, and soon we will have a new website. It's very easy to sit back and not change anything, but we feel like we are improving things, which is always better! We encourage everyone to come and check out the expo and visit our booth. We really the experience of meeting new couples and showing them what we have to offer. See you there!!!

Christine and Brady

This is the wedding day highlights from Christine and Brady's wedding at the Westin Moana Surfrider. I love the shot of Brady wiping Christine's tears during the ceremony! There's not a lot I can say about the strap-on basketball game, but I had a hard time keeping the camera steady because I was laughing so hard! Congratulations Christine and Brady!!!

Kelsi & Ian

Here are the ceremony highlights from tonight's wedding of Kelsi & Ian. They were married at the Hale Koa Hotel in the Maile Gardens. Talk about a crowded ceremony, I believe everyone who was at the reception also attended the ceremony! That is very rare these days, but it says a lot about how they feel about the couple. Congratulations Kelsi and Ian!!!

Wendy & Leigh

Here's the ceremony highlights from Wendy and Leigh's wedding at the Hyatt. I had a great time at their wedding, in particular during their first dance. They danced to a medley of songs, including "Macarena" and "Thriller", amongst many others. It was hilarious, and their guests really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to editing their full video to relive the moment. Congratulations Wendy and Leigh!!!
