Meghan and Reid

This is the wedding day highlights from Meghan and Reid's wedding at the Hyatt. We were accompanied by Visionari to their photo shoot at the Judicial Building, which is a beautiful place to shoot. They are the owners of the shortest ceremony we have ever filmed, only 8 minutes from the beginning of the processional to the end of the recessional! They were actually up at the altar for less than 5 minutes, so there really wasn't many shots we could get during the ceremony. During the bouquet toss, Meghan fired a bullet right into the face of the poor bridesmaid! It was hilarious, and Visionari got a memorable photo (right as the flowers were on her face). This was a very memorable and fun wedding, and we are so happy to have been a part of it.

Shari & Forrest

This is the ceremony highlights from Forrest and Shari's wedding. We really enjoy shooting at the Judicial Building, especially when they drop the flowers from overhead! The reception was held at Dole Cannery Ballrooms, and had one of the most interesting events I have ever witnessed at a wedding. They had an Okinawan Dog Dance, which is similar to a Chinese Lion Dance. It was really cool, and the crowd really enjoyed it. Congratulations Shari and Forrest!!!

Charmaine & Solomon (a week late)

Charmaine and Solomon was a very special wedding for us. We also shot her sister's wedding last year along with Bianca and Grant from Bianca Photography. Their ceremony was held at Kamehameha Chapel and reception followed at Steven Mark Hall.
I loved the way they looked at each other. They looked into each others eyes with so much love, and always had the biggest smiles on their faces. Thank you Charmaine and Soloman for allowing us to capture your special day.

Michelle & Abe

This is the ceremony highlights from tonight's wedding of Michelle and Abe. They were married at the beautiful St. Joseph's Church in Waipahu, and the reception followed at the Hyatt. This couple really loves The Beatles, as they chose all Beatles songs for their slideshow, as well as regular DVD! This explains the last shot of the video, which is simulating Abbey Road. They were so much fun to be around, and we are so thankful they chose us to capture their day.

Kristie & Shaun

This is the ceremony highlights from Kristie and Shaun's wedding at the Halekulani. This was our third day in a row shooting at the Halekulani, so we really felt like part of the hotel. It was cool because we saw our couple from Friday (Nancy and John) while we were filming Kristie and Shaun. I really liked the set-up of their ceremony, which was done by Todd from Always Flowers. I really liked the idea of a entry-way gazebo in the back. Congratulations Kristie and Shaun!!!

Jeannine & Scott

We had a great time today at Jeannine and Scott's wedding. This was my first time at the Royal Hawaiian since the renovations (although Janice shot their once), and it looks really nice. This was also a very special wedding for us because we shot the weddings of 2 of Jeannine's bridesmaids. It's always great to see our old friends again! Jeannine did a surprise singing performance for Scott, which was really cute. Both of her bridesmaids had similar surprise performances at their weddings (except it was done by the grooms). We had a great time working with their photographer, Garrett Nose. Thank you Jeannine and Scott!!!

Nikki & Kenneth

This is the ceremony highlights from tonight's wedding of Nikki and Kenneth. Their ceremony was held in the Hau Terrace Ballroom at the Halekulani, which was very nice (especially because it is air conditioned). We were honored to be a part of their big day, especially with all the other wonderful vendors they used. They use SU-V Expressions for their florist, Eugene Kam as their photographer, Ben & Maila and Kapena for their entertainment. Congratulations Nikki & Kenneth!!!

Nancy and Mike

This is the wedding day highlights from Nancy and Mike's wedding at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Their ceremony was held in the beautiful Ocean Crystal Chapel. This couple was so much fun to be around! We were all cracking up when Mike's best man brought out the big diamond during the ring exchange! I saw him looking at it before the wedding, but I didn't see him pocket it and take it up to the ceremony. We had a great time working with Garrett and Todd from Garrett Nose Photography. Thank you Nancy and Mike!!!

Traci and Brandon

This is the wedding day highlights from Traci and Brandon's wedding. Their wedding shows why we love to witness a couple's "first moment". We love to see the groom's eyes light up, or even better, tear up! On a lighter note, I love the shot of the bridal party shooting down Traci and Brandon after they entered into the reception - they were completely shocked, as I think everyone was! As always, we had a great time working with their photographers from Love Story Weddings. Congratulations Traci and Brandon!!!

Keri and Eldon

This is the wedding day highlights from Keri and Eldon's wedding at the Halekulani. A very memorable moment in their wedding was when Eldon sang a surprise song to Keri during the reception. It was very moving, especially since he has a really good voice (I don't think Janice would have appreciated if I would have sung to her on our wedding - she probably would have ran away along with the entire audience). The couple had Chris Labang from On 3 Photography, as well as Shawnee Hammer as their coordinator and the hilarious Gregg Hammer as their MC. Congratulations Keri and Eldon!!!

Tricia & Manny

I don't even know where to start in talking about Tricia and Manny. They have to be one of the most unique and fun couples we have ever had the chance to be around. They have sooooooo much personality, and their wedding was truly memorable. I think I'm going to have to put a R-Rating on their video, or at least a "Parental Advisory" sticker on the cover! Tricia was in the bridal party of one of our former couples, Shawnie and Nathan. Since then, we have gotten to know them quite well in the past year, so we were really exicted to see them tie the knot. I love Manny's reaction to seeing Tricia in her dress for the first time! Another shot I loved was the one where the guys had "their teeth" in, because the girls had no idea until they turned around. We also had a great time working with Love Story Weddings, as always. Congratulations Tricia and Manny!!!

Angie & Jon

Here is our second Ceremony Highlights for May 23, 2009. Jon and Angie are such a sweet couple. We first got to meet them at Jon's sisters wedding last year, but today was their turn. One of my favorite shots of the day was their first moment. When Jon turned around and saw Angie for the first time, he had the biggest smile on his face. I could tell how much he loved and adored her. They had a fabulous team of vendors that worked well together and helped create their dream wedding. They choose the Halekulani as their venue, Mark Nomura as their photographer, Always Flowers, and The DJ- Tony So. Thank you so much for choosing us to capture your special day. You both have a special place in our hearts.

Shannon & Chris

This is the ceremony highlights from the wedding of Shannon and Chris. They were married at the Hale Koa Hotel in the Luau Gardens. Shannon and Chris are one of those couples that you can tell right away they belong together. They just have a certain look that you can feel how much they love each other. We had a great time working with their photographers, Love Story Weddings, as well as their MC, Augie T. Congratulations Shannon and Chris!!!

Sukhi & Gordy

This is the ceremony highlights from tonight's wedding of Sukhi and Gordy. They were married at the beautiful Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore. This was our first Indian wedding, and it was a lot of fun. It is always fun to experience a wedding from another culture, and Sukhi and Gordy's was no exception. Inside the pavilion, you must remove your shoes, as well as cover your head. It was a lot of fun, and we are so grateful to have been a part of their special day. Thank you Sukhi and Gordy!!!

Melanie & Mchael

This is the ceremony highlights as played at the reception of Melanie and Michael. Their ceremony was held at United Church of Christ, and the reception followed at the Hale Koa. This was a very beautiful church, made even more beautiful by the fact that it was air conditioned! Since the majority of our summer weddings occur outdoors, we definitely appreciate A/C when we get it! Melanie and Michael are such a beautiful couple, and they both have such sweet personalities. We had a great time working with their photographers from Dulce, as well as their DJ, Tony So from TheDJ Hawaii. Thank you Melanie and Michael!!!

Jan and Matt

This was a very special wedding for me to be a part of, because Matt and I have been friends since Intermediate School. I got a chance to see a bunch of my old friends that (unfortunately) I haven't seen in a while. The only thing I didn't enjoy about this wedding was the drive to get there. It took me over 3 hours to get there from the Ihilani (coming from another wedding), because this was the day the gas truck overturned on the freeway. It was a nightmare, but luckily I made it there in time. They did an exceptional job of planning their wedding, especially since they only had a few months to plan. I love the shot of the 2 girls fighting for the bouquet! It's funny because sometimes everyone runs from it, and other times they fight for it. Congratulations Jan and Matt!!!

Mei & John

This is the ceremony highlights from Mei and John's wedding. Their ceremony was held at the Anela Gardens Chapel, and the reception followed at the Ala Moana Hotel. This wedding was different from the average wedding for us, mainly because they had the Chinese games. Basically, the poor groom has to prove his love by performing whatever is asked of him by the bridesmaids. They made him eat a Wasabi sandwich, as well as a few other things I'd rather not mention! After it was over, I gave Janice a big hug and thanked her for not making me do anything like that when we got married (she is half Chinese). If I had to eat a Wasabi sandwich, I doubt Video 21 Productions would have ever been created!!!

Pam and Reynold

Pam and Reynold had a beautiful wedding at the Anela Gardens Chapel and the Hale Koa, and we are so glad to have been a part of it. We loved Pam's Visor veil, and we loved even more when Reynold lifted it up for their first kiss! It got a huge roar of laughter from the audience. The reception had some hilarious speeches and toasts, which kept everyone entertained. As always, we had a great time working with their photographers from Love Story Weddings. Congratulations Pam and Reynold!!!

Keri and Larry

This is the wedding day highlights from Keri and Larry's wedding. They were married at the Holy Trinity Church in Hawaii Kai, and their reception followed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. What a crazy garter toss, but luckily everyone was okay! I might have to start recommending children to wear helmets for the bouquet & garter tosses, because we've seen it get pretty rough. We had a great time working with our photographer friends from Dulce. Congratulations Keri and Larry!!!

Debbie and Shane

This is the Wedding Day Highlights from Debbie and Shane's wedding. They were married at the Saint John Vianney Church in Kailua, and their reception followed at Pacific Beach Hotel. It was a very rainy day in paradise, so we were happy their wedding was indoors! Thankfully, the raid stopped enough for the couple to have a great photo shoot at the Post Office with their photographer, Love Story Weddings. Once we got to the reception, Teley B from Showtime DJ's really made it a party, as only he can do! I could have easily made a highlights video from the reception alone, as there were tons of memorable moments. Congratulations Debbie and Shane!!!

Maile & Craig

This is the ceremony highlights from Maile and Craig's wedding. Their ceremony was held at the Anela Gardens Chapel, and the reception followed at the Hale Koa. I love all the crying and smiling that took place at their wedding, it is truly what makes a great video. We had a great time working with their coordinator, Shari Dang, as well as their photographers, Love Story Weddings. Congratulations Maile and Craig!!!

Joy and Paulo

Joy and Paulo had a beautiful wedding ceremony at St. Augustine Church, and their reception followed at the Westin Moana Surfrider. This couple has a "glow" about them, which makes our job so much easier. They had a beautiful ceremony, but the reception was even more memorable. I especially loved the father daughter dance (I usually don't enjoy this part because it reminds me that there is a chance I will let Kylie get married one day and I will be dancing with her), because after the slow dance they broke into a fast dance. It was really cute!!! This was followed by a very emotional dance between Paulo and his mother, which brought tears to everyone (even the vendors). The couple chose Geralyn from Hokulii Images as their photographer (assisted by Arna Johnson), and Aubrey from Savior Faire as their coordinator. Congratulations Joy and Paulo!!!

Hyatt Wedding Gala

Today was a very special day for Video 21. We were a part of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Wedding Gala. It consisted of about 150 engaged couples that got a chance to see what the Hyatt is all about. They were given the royal treatment with great food, drinks, and entertainment. They got to watch a short video about the Hyatt (made by yours truly), and then they were split up into groups and led on tours through the hotels. They got to visit one of the bridal suites, hang out by the waterfall, and visit the ceremony site. At the ceremony site, Mary from A Perfect Day and myself were waiting to give a short presentation to the couple. Finally they got to go to the ballroom, where they were amazed with a beautifully decorated ballroom, as well as a lounge area. Tony So from TheDJ Hawaii provided the music and lights for the lounge, which was really cool. Naomi from Les Saisons provided the linens for all the tables, which was absolutely beautiful. Florist Grand provided the flowers, which included the biggest centerpieces I have ever seen (each one consisted of 14 dozen red roses!!!). Inside the ballroom, there was great food for everyone to eat (and I'm not talking samples, they were given REAL food). Also in the ballroom, each vendor was given a table so that the couples could meet them and ask questions. Of course, Janice got to stay in the ballroom in the A/C, while I got sunburned outside!

It was a great honor to be a part of the gala because there was only one vendor per category, and we were the chosen videographer. They Hyatt is a first-class hotel, and it means so much that they chose us. After all the couples were gone, all of the vendors hung out and partied for a while. Special mahalo to all of the Hyatt staff, especially Michele Ganiko, their catering manager. She is truly the best in the business. You can reach Michele at (808) 227-6239. Here is the video that was played at the gala.

Brandi & Peter

This is the ceremony highlights from Brandi and Peter's wedding. Their ceremony was held at the beautiful Kamehameha Chapel, and their reception followed at Hale Koa in the Luau Gardens. We had a blast working with their talented photographer, Geralyn from Hokulii Images. I love the shot of the couple taking pictures of themselves with Geralyn's camera, what a great idea! Thank you Brandi and Peter!!!

Jeanelle and Chad

Being a part of Jeanelle and Chad's wedding was our first opportunity to see the Royal Hawaiian Hotel after it's renovations. After seeing it, we were not disappointed. It was really cute when Jeanelle's dance with her father cut from a slow song to "Stayin' Alive". Davis says he wants to do that with Kylie at her wedding (which he hopes will not happen "for at least 30 years"), probably so he can keep from crying. We also had a great time working with their phographer, Love Story Weddings, as well as their coordinator, Kelly Sugano from A Perfect Day. Congratulations Jeanelle and Chad!!!
